Invented by Julius Maggi in 1886, the Aroma is a real revolution. Obtained by a process of protein hydrolysis, a genuine laboratory product, it nevertheless has a familiar taste that improves any dish, even in the most modest kitchens.
This bottle, the oldest in our collection, bears the famous ‘star-cross’ logo that Julius Maggi developed from his motto ‘From the cross to the star’. This trademark, like Henri Nestlé's nest, was designed to protect consumers from counterfeit products, which were very common at the end of the 19th century.
