The Alimentarium is looking for testimonies for its new exhibition!
The Alimentarium is preparing a new section of its permanent exhibition dedicated to nutrition and the relationships we have with what we eat and drink.
This exhibition focuses on real-life experiences – those of people who eat, cook, struggle, indulge, doubt, celebrate, pay attention… in short: everyone!
What we’re inviting you to do
Take part in a collaborative project by sending us a short video (between 1 and 5 minutes) in which you talk about your relationship with food, in your own words and from whatever perspective you choose. You can start by introducing yourself briefly, then expand on the topic you’d like to share.
There’s no need to perform and no need for staging: what we’re looking for is sincerity.
Here are a few ideas for topics you might choose to explore:
- Growing, recovering and healing through food…
- Eating for performance: sport, work, studies, personal challenges…
- Pleasure and connection: traditions, memories, emotions, shared meals…
- Complex and challenging relationships with food and drink: excess, restrictions, compulsive eating, addictions…
- Diet-related conditions: diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular risks, gastrointestinal disorders…
- Allergies, intolerances, deficiencies: adjustments, constraints, daily vigilance…
Your testimony will join those of other participants in a video installation at the heart of the museum.
Why take part?
Because your voice can:
- spark discussions;
- represent a reality that is rarely shown;
- give a human face to issues that affect us all;
- help visitors better understand the many different ways in which food is experienced.
Who can take part?
Anyone who feels like sharing a piece of their story.
There are no ‘right answers’ and no expected script: just your video, your voice, your style, your experiences.
