Imitation bar of Kohler chocolate

Modern Era, Europe

Shop window displays used imitation bars of chocolate such as this one, where a thin piece of wood was covered with two paper wrappers, one above the other. If the bar of ‘chocolate’ became faded by sunlight, the first layer of paper could be removed to give a fresh new wrapper.
