Butter mould and bat

Modern Era, Europe
This object had a dual purpose. The flat part was used to pat the butter to eliminate any remaining buttermilk, to press it together and shape it into a block. The engraved part marked the block of butter with the traditional local decoration of the Vaud coat of arms.
