The Alimentarium will be reopening on Tuesday 12 May 2020. We are thrilled to be able to welcome our visitors to the Museum again!
To keep our visitors safe, in accordance with the Swiss FOPH recommendations, the Museum has adopted the following health and safety precautions:
- Checking and limiting access
- Installation of plexiglass shields, floor markings and rope barriers
- Alcohol-based hand sanitiser available at various points in the Museum
- More frequent cleaning and disinfection of all areas of the Museum.
More details on these precautions are available here.
On the menu for this unique ‘reopening’ is a new temporary exhibition devoted to the emotion of disgust, to be savoured from Wednesday 20 May. It has been co-created from your stories on www.thefoodwelovetohate.org! We’re also making our comeback with a bouquet of weekend workshops to fine-tune your newly acquired culinary skills, plus delicious dishes in our Restaurant and tasty snacks in our Café – not forgetting our scientific demos and the reopening of our Shop.
To sum things up… Welcome back! It was about time, wasn’t it?
